Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility for residents, following established care plans
• Assist with meal service and ensure residents receive appropriate hydration and nutrition
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver person-centered care that honors dignity and preferences

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills with residents and teammates
• Willingness to pass required background checks and health screening per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar healthcare settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care skills including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Vital signs monitoring and accurate charting
• Safe transfer and body mechanics techniques
• Familiarity with infection prevention and universal precautions
• Teamwork, time management, and respectful communication
