Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to enhance patient comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerning changes to nursing staff
• Document care activities accurately and timely in resident charts or electronic records
• Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico or eligible for state certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated compassion and strong communication skills with residents and families
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and able to perform hands-on patient care
• Background check and any facility-specific onboarding requirements completed

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to take and record vitals accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
