Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to help patients maintain dignity and comfort.
• Assist patients with mobility, bathing, dressing, and feeding while following safety protocols.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations accurately and promptly.
• Document patient care activities clearly in the chart and communicate changes to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and report any changes in condition to clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (valid in New Mexico).
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem assignments.
• Comfortable with basic documentation and following facility policies and procedures.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs.
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and patient observations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
• Basic charting/record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Time management, safety awareness, and infection control practices.
