Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to acute patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, following facility protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Accurately complete required documentation and follow infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — active and in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)
• Experience or training in acute care settings preferred
• Comfort with physically active work including patient lifting and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a fast-paced care team
• Willingness to work 12.5-hour shifts and cover required rotation patterns

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical care and patient safety practices in acute care
• Skill in assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient hygiene
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and monitoring
• Teamwork and effective communication with nursing staff and allied disciplines
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting systems or willingness to learn
