Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and fall-prevention measures
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with nurses and providers
• Help create a calm, respectful environment that centers patient dignity
• Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Experience or strong interest in acute care environments
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and handle the physical demands of patient care
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete required screenings/background checks
• Strong teamwork, communication and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection control, safety and fall-prevention practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and team members
