Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Lead and Senior Technologists and provide indirect oversight to all technical staff, ensuring excellent patient care and team performance
• Manage daily staffing to meet budget and productivity targets while supporting employee satisfaction and development
• Implement and support quality improvement processes and ensure regulatory standards (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22) are met
• Perform and/or oversee diagnostic imaging procedures as needed and maintain high standards of image quality control
• Translate professional and regulatory standards into policies and practices; keep procedures current with regulatory changes
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and clinical teams to resolve issues and improve patient-centered care
• Monitor departmental operations, evaluate resource needs, and make substantiated recommendations for resource allocation
• Coach, mentor, and when appropriate, utilize progressive discipline to maintain a professional, accountable team environment

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 5 years experience as a working Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting (3–5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience desired)
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to motivate and delegate respectfully
• Ability to fulfill essential functions of the role and to competently perform diagnostic procedures across all patient age groups

Education

• Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, and ACR survey/compliance requirements
• Proficient in image quality control, radiographic exposure, positioning, radiation protection and radiobiology
• Quality assurance and performance improvement methods
• Resource management, staffing models, and basic financial stewardship for imaging services
• Clinical education, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
