Location: Belen, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with safe transfers, positioning, bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed
Monitor resident status and document changes in behavior or condition accurately
Take and record vital signs and report concerns promptly to the nursing team
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Support residents' emotional well-being through attentive, person-centered interactions
Collaborate with nurses and other staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not required
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Reliable, compassionate, and comfortable assisting with hands-on care

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
Basic infection control and hygiene practices
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Accurate charting and documentation habits
Ability to observe and report clinical changes clearly
Customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and families
