Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to residents—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, promoting dignity and independence
- Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding needs with patience and respect
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, secure environment
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Comfortable working overnight 12.5-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM)
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL support
- Vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear communication with residents, families, and nursing staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
