Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility record
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention measures during care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
• Promote a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Class: CNA) valid in New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Belen Meadows Center as needed
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but enthusiastic, dedicated caregivers are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of resident care fundamentals and ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
• Strong observation skills and critical thinking when reporting changes
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
