Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor residents for changes and promptly report observations to the nursing team
• Accurately document care, vital signs, and resident interactions in the chart
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention efforts
• Help with meal service and feeding when needed, respecting dietary plans
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (New Mexico or eligible to practice in NM)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and physical care tasks
• Reliable transportation to Belen Meadows Center
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus, but caring heart matters most

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational patient care and ADL support
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Accurate, timely charting and documentation
• Effective communication with residents, families, and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and respectful resident advocacy
