Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing staff with procedures and follow care plans to support resident outcomes
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing team and document observations clearly
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build rapport with residents and families to promote dignity and emotional wellbeing
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, resident-centered care culture

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude; previous long-term care or residential experience a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and documenting accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills with the ability to report clinical changes
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to prioritize resident needs
