Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and feeding while preserving dignity
• Monitor and document vital signs and resident conditions accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in resident status to nursing staff and participate in care planning
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges with professionalism and empathy
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required or able to obtain upon hire
• Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting a varied resident population
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to resident-centered care
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of ADLs, basic patient care and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Skill in accurate documentation and basic charting procedures
• Ability to observe, report and escalate changes in resident condition
• Good time management, reliability and teamwork mindset
• Professional bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
