Shift Type: Day or Night 12-hour shifts (three 12-hour shifts per week, ~36 hours/week). Schedules include day or night options and may include weekends; exact start/end times vary by unit and will be provided by the employer.

Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the IMCU
- Teach patients and their significant others to support recovery and self-care
- Document patient care clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Respond effectively to patient crises and emergency situations with calm and competence
- Prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing patient and unit needs
- Use computer systems confidently to access records, document care, and communicate
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Oregon
- American Heart Association BLS (Healthcare Provider) required
- ACLS required or must be obtained within the employer-provided grace period
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience; 2-3 years of critical care experience preferred
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years preferred
- Intermediate/Progressive Care experience is a plus
- Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer applications
- Strong communication, teaching, and critical-thinking skills
Education
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oregon (completion of an accredited nursing program required)
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (diploma, ADN, or BSN) as appropriate for RN licensure
- Required certifications: BLS (current); ACLS as noted in employer guidance
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of the nursing process and patient-centered care
- Skilled in clinical documentation and electronic medical record workflows
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving in fast-paced settings
- Experience with emergency and crisis response in acute care
- Patient teaching and family education to promote better outcomes
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing unit needs
- Comfortable using computers for documentation, internet access, and word processing
- Effective verbal and written communication in English
