Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts — 2 nights on / 2 nights off / 3 nights on rotation (includes weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $26 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and accurately document medications, treatments and resident responses in the EHR (PCC)
- Transcribe physician orders and notify the RN Supervisor of any significant changes in a resident's condition
- Lead and supervise nursing assistants and high school student aides to ensure quality resident care
- Review and update resident care plans with clear, time-limited goals and direct the team to implement plans
- Prepare daily wing reports, complete monthly summaries and assist with care plan conferences
- Collect laboratory specimens, document in PCC and coordinate delivery as needed
- Count and secure narcotics with another nurse at shift change and document drug disposal properly
- Monitor infection control practices, resident safety and the cleanliness of the work area
- Assist with admissions, transfers, post-mortem procedures, and communicate with families and department heads
- Participate in staff orientation, in-services and team conferences to promote continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania LPN license required (or have applied / hold a temporary permit at time of interview)
- BLS (AHA) certification required

- Nursing home or skilled nursing experience is a plus
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred but not required
- Ability to pass employment physical and be free of communicable disease
- Strong documentation, communication and observation skills
- Comfort supervising nursing assistants and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Completion of an approved Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate recording
- EHR/EMR experience (PCC preferred) and strong documentation practices
- Care planning and resident assessment
- Infection control and medical asepsis
- Observation techniques and reporting
- Body mechanics and safe resident handling
- Specimen collection and lab coordination
- Quality assurance data collection and monitoring
- Ability to supervise and coach nursing assistants
- Compassionate resident-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
