Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity critical care to patients in a 30-bed SICU/MICU/Neuro environment
- Manage and monitor advanced therapies including CRRT and IABP with precision
- Provide specialized cardiac and post-op care, including CABG patient management
- Conduct stroke assessments and NIHSS evaluations as part of timely stroke care
- Document care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
- Maintain currency in BLS and ACLS and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Complete required competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty assessments
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Nursys verification listed)
- Critical Care RN experience in ICU settings (SICU/MICU/Neuro) required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification/experience for stroke assessment
- Clinical experience with CRRT, IABP and care of post-op cardiac (CABG) patients
- Familiarity with TNK and acute stroke workflows
- Available for per diem shifts and able to complete required onboarding and testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EPIC documentation and workflows
- Skilled in CRRT setup, troubleshooting and monitoring
- Competent managing IABP and advanced cardiac/post-op care
- Experienced in stroke care and NIHSS scoring
- Strong critical thinking, assessment and acute intervention skills
- Comfortable completing Prime competency exams and skills checklists
- Familiarity with hospital licensing/verification via Nursys and DCI/BVP processes
