Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe and informed
• Administer medications accurately and document interventions in the chart
• Provide high-quality inpatient med-surg care with attention to detail and patient comfort
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Support unit needs by floating between telemetry and ICU when staffing requires

Qualifications

• Active RN license (verification via Nursys required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications as listed
• Experience in telemetry and med-surgical inpatient nursing; ICU or float-pool experience is a plus
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings (10-panel drug screen, fit test, TB screening, etc.)
• Up-to-date immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap) per employer policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation skills
• Proficient medication administration and medication reconciliation practices
• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced inpatient settings
• Comfortable working flexible shifts and adapting to floating between units
