Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care environment
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
- Perform resident assessments, monitor conditions, and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
- Support residents and families with clear communication and compassionate education
- Participate in required competency testing and adherence to facility protocols
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification required
- Experience or interest in Long Term Care (LTC) settings preferred
- Willingness to undergo License/Certificate Verification
- Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations (see checklist)
- Comfort participating in Trinity competency testing and required evaluations
- Open to per-diem/pool scheduling and flexible shift coverage
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of long-term care principles and resident-focused care
- Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills
- Infection control knowledge and adherence to vaccination/fit testing requirements
- Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Accurate documentation and basic familiarity with electronic charting
- Dependability, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast-paced LTC setting
