Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor resident status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
- Support infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in competency testing and continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience or comfort working in Long Term Care settings preferred
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
- License and certificate verification on file
- Ability to complete facility health requirements: fit test, PPD or IGRA, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, respirator evaluation, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, and seasonal influenza vaccine
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN) and current RN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Knowledge of long term care best practices and resident-centered care
- Familiarity with infection control and respirator use
- Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
- Comfort with electronic medical records and timely charting
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
