Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-focused nursing care in a long-term care environment
- Assess resident condition and document findings clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to create and update care plans
- Perform routine and specialty nursing procedures per competency guidelines
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in mandatory competency testing and maintain required certifications
- Support infection prevention practices, immunization compliance, and health screenings
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential required
- BLS certification required
- Experience or comfort working in Long-Term Care settings preferred
- Successful License/Certificate Verification is required prior to start
- Ability to complete required health screenings: Fit Test, TB screening (PPD or IGRA), drug screen, respirator evaluation
- Up-to-date immunizations or documented exemptions: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Competency Testing and Trinity Color Vision check
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and documentation best practices
- Medication administration and monitoring in a LTC population
- Basic life support and emergency response skills
- Infection control and immunization protocols
- Comfort using electronic health records and completing competency testing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for resident-centered care
- Ability to follow facility policies for health screenings and respirator use
