Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Assess residents regularly and document clinical changes accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow care plans
- Perform specialty competency tasks as required and maintain certifications
- Maintain infection control practices and promote a safe environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff to support quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- License/certificate verification on file
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred
- Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and facility-specific onboarding
- Must meet health and screening requirements: Fit Test; 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot); Trinity 10-panel drug screen; respirator evaluation; MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations; Trinity color vision; and a physical/health statement
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking in LTC populations
- Medication administration and accurate documentation practices
- Infection prevention and control knowledge
- Proficient communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort with competency-based testing and following facility protocols
- Professionalism and ability to adapt to varying shift assignments
