Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform assessments, document findings, and update care plans to keep residents safe and comfortable
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility policies and professional standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
- Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to demonstrate clinical readiness
- Maintain accurate license/certification verification and comply with mandatory health screenings
- Respond professionally to clinical changes and escalate concerns to appropriate care leads
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania (license verification required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Experience or interest in long-term care / nursing homes
- Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
- Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen and any required health documentation
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills tailored to long-term care needs
- Comfortable with medication administration and common LTC procedures
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard safety practices
- Clear verbal and written communication for handoffs and documentation
- Ability to follow facility-specific competencies and quickly adapt to site protocols
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
