Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-focused nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Monitor changes in resident condition and communicate with interdisciplinary team
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Ensure infection control practices and immunization compliance are followed
- Participate in trainings, chart audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in New Jersey or compact license where applicable
- Recent experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Up-to-date immunizations as listed (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Ability to pass Trinity 10 panel drug screen and required health clearance
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and care planning for older adults
- Medication administration and IV/med pass familiarity
- Wound care and chronic disease management basics
- Electronic health record documentation and timely charting
- Infection prevention practices and immunization knowledge
- Team collaboration, resident advocacy, and family communication
