Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform resident assessments, document care, and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to policies and physician orders
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to support resident wellbeing
- Support infection control practices and adhere to required health and safety screenings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support continuity of care
- Engage residents and families with respect, dignity and person-centered communication
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state verification required)
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care settings preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- License/certificate verification required as part of onboarding
- Completed pre-employment health requirements: 2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
- Successful completion of background checks, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, fit test and required health questionnaires
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of long-term care nursing principles and resident-centered care
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and care teams
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting proficiency
- Infection prevention practices and adherence to immunization and screening protocols
- Ability to prioritize, adapt to changing needs and contribute positively in a team environment
