Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Act as a patient advocate — ensure dignity, safety, and excellent clinical outcomes
• Direct and supervise assigned personnel, supporting a well-coordinated unit
• Monitor patients’ physiologic status before, during, and after procedures, and intervene promptly when needed
• Manage infusion and PCA pumps and other clinical equipment accurately and safely
• Perform clear, timely documentation and handoffs to support continuity of care
• Assist with conscious sedation and monitor-role responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Oregon (required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (required)
• BLS and ACLS current certifications (required)
• IV certification and experience with infusion/PCA pumps preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR (required)
• Preferred: 3+ years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab, RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, conscious sedation and monitor-role experience
• Bilingual English-Spanish speakers encouraged to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong grounding in the nursing process and peri-procedural nursing
• Proficient patient monitoring and use of interventional medical equipment
• Experience with angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization and cath lab workflows
• Critical care and emergency nursing skills for rapid assessment and intervention
• Patient advocacy, supervision, and clear clinical communication
• Ability to provide age-specific, culturally sensitive patient care
• Comfort with documentation systems and interdisciplinary collaboration
