Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOH/EOW), 12-hour shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing medical oncology treatments
Administer chemotherapy and other oncology medications with precision and safety
Monitor patient vital signs and manage symptoms related to cancer treatment
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about treatment protocols and side effect management
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of Iowa or compact state
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in medical oncology preferred
Ability to work every other weekend and holiday shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of oncology nursing principles and chemotherapy administration
Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and patient education abilities
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
