Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; includes every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate nursing care activities during patient hospitalization
Assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient outcomes
Administer medications accurately and promptly
Provide emergency care as needed
Direct and supervise other nursing personnel
Conduct group therapies and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning
Maintain a safe environment and monitor for contraband

Qualifications

Current Illinois RN license required
BLS certification required
CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills required
Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BSN preferred or equivalent years of experience

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong nursing judgment and clinical competence
Ability to organize and coordinate care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient with MS Office and Meditech
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
