Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating weekends, holidays, on-call; flexible shift options (4x10 or 3x12)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including open heart and orthopedic surgeries
Prepare and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team during operations
Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and patient charting
Participate in on-call rotation to support emergency surgeries
Ensure all instruments and equipment are prepared and functioning

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of OR scrub tech experience in a busy department
Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
Current BLS certification required
DCI/BVP certification required
Ability to take on-call (one night every 2 weeks, one weekend every 6 weeks)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and case loads
