Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mammography and DEXA equipment to produce clear, high-quality images
• Position and compress patients for optimal image acquisition while ensuring comfort
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote understanding
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Evaluate images for quality and repeat scans as needed
• Maintain detailed patient records and documentation
• Stay current on mammography techniques and best practices
• Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures when needed
• Educate patients on the importance of regular breast health screenings

Qualifications

• ARRT registered (required)
• Mammography certification or license (required)
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (preferred)
• Minimum one year of mammography experience (ideal)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Compassionate and patient demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Reliable, punctual, and emotionally mature
• Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Mammography and DEXA imaging techniques
• Radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Patient care and positioning
• EMR proficiency
• Customer service and communication skills
