Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care delivery
Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team during your shift
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with standards

Qualifications

3+ years of Med Surg experience is required
Active Illinois RN license (Nursys verification required)
BLS (AHA) certification required at start
ACLS (AHA) required within 30 days of start
Must live 50+ miles from Mattoon, IL to be considered
Work history, skills checklist, and 2 supervisory references required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in Med Surg and Telemetry nursing
Ability to lead and mentor patient care teams
Proficient in ACLS and BLS life support techniques
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities
Adaptable to fast-paced environments and changing patient needs
