Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, includes weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult surgical patients
Monitor and manage postoperative recovery and complications
Administer medications and IV therapies using PCA and IV pumps
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery
Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation

Qualifications

Active Hawaii RN license or ability to obtain before start
Minimum 2 years of recent surgical nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficiency in pre/postoperative care including abdominal surgeries
Experience with IV pumps, PCA pumps, and Pyxis medication system
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Surgical pre/postoperative care knowledge
Med-surg adult nursing skills
EMR charting proficiency (Point Click)
Ability to float to other units as needed
Flexibility to work nights and weekends
