Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating schedule including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening as necessary
Assist with epidurals, inductions, and cesarean sections
Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe deliveries
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
