Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care for BMT and oncology ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP support, ensuring respiratory stability and adjustments as needed
• Titrate medication drips safely and accurately while monitoring hemodynamics
• Perform trach care, dressing changes, turning, and total patient care with attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to drive excellent patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and changes in Meditech EMR with clarity and timeliness
• Respond to emergent situations and assist with procedures and CRRT when indicated
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 2:1) and communicate changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Texas; compact license holders may apply if valid)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Comfort and competency with ventilator management, titrating drips, and trach care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Ability to work rotating nights and weekends and integrate into an established ICU team
• CRRT and transplant experience are preferred and will be considered a strong plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and BiPAP support
• Titration and management of vasoactive and sedative drips
• Trach care and advanced airway support
• CRRT familiarity and care of renal replacement therapy patients (preferred)
• Experience with oncology and transplant post-op patient needs
• Proficient documentation in Meditech EMR
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
