Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients and manage complex cases
• Assess, monitor and document patient status using Meditech EMR and unit-specific tools
• Perform and assist with ICU procedures such as central line and arterial line placement and intubation as appropriate
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans
• Manage ventilators, infusion pumps and other standard ICU equipment safely and effectively
• Prioritize patient safety, maintaining 2:1 patient ratios when caring for high-acuity patients
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (TX license or compact privilege preferred)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care RN experience
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and covering weekends per schedule
• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Preferred: oncology or neuro ICU experience and familiarity with central/arterial line placement and intubation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU clinical skills
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
• Ability to manage ventilators, invasive lines and critical drips
• Excellent assessment, prioritization and time-management skills
• Team-oriented communicator who can work with diverse interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and changing patient acuity
