Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care and monitor cardiac rhythms closely
• Assess patients regularly and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge needs
• Escalate concerns and changes in patient status to providers in a timely manner
• Ensure accurate handoffs and clear communication during shift transitions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California (or compact license where applicable)
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required depending on facility
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessment preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt quickly

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• IV medication administration and safe medication practices
• Patient assessment, triage, and rapid recognition of deterioration
• Electronic medical record documentation and charting
• Team collaboration, professional communication, and patient education
