Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care through thorough assessments and timely interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns to ensure excellent outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and discharge readiness
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following protocols, participating in huddles, and mentoring teammates

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN licensure (if applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
• Experience in acute care nursing with night shift experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and critical thinking skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Sound clinical assessment and monitoring skills for acute care patients
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV management
• Excellent documentation skills and comfort using electronic health records
• Strong communication and patient/family education abilities
• Ability to respond effectively in emergent situations and prioritize care
