Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Document care and patient progress clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond professionally to changes in patient status and participate in emergency response
• Support unit workflows and mentor junior staff as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred when applicable to the unit
• Demonstrated ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a rotating schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Local candidates encouraged (position is local-only)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred when available
• Completion of required clinical training and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and ability to prioritize patient care
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Experience with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Effective patient and family education techniques
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Time management, delegation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
