Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (0630-1900 or 1830-0700), includes every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor continuous EEG and titrate critical drips like Cardizem and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure 1:4-5 ratios
Assess and manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, and stroke diagnoses
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills to foster teamwork

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required to confirm residency outside 50-mile radius
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to titrate IV drips and manage complex medication regimens
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with fast-paced environments and floating to other units
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and neurological assessments
