Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
- Respond effectively to patient needs and emergent situations
- Support transitions of care by educating patients and families
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred when applicable
- Clinical experience in acute care or monitored settings preferred
- Comfort and competence working overnight 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on per-diem assignments
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or nursing diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred when available
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and infusion experience
- Proficient charting and documentation in EHR systems
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and safety practices
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
- Teamwork mindset and strong patient-centered focus
