Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care across various med-surg units including Ortho, Med-Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med-Surg Tele
Float to any med-surg floor as needed, ensuring seamless patient care
Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Monitor telemetry and critical changes in patient conditions

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Iowa
Minimum 1 year of recent med-surg or telemetry experience preferred
Must be willing to float to all med-surg floors and West Lakes Campus (9.5 miles away)
Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
Proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, changing environments
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR)
