Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes
Administer medications, perform wound care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
Float to West Des Moines campus as needed to support patient care demands
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred
Must be willing to float between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
