Location: Dayton, Ohio

Start Date: 07-17-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible 12.5-hour shifts, as needed. Weekends and holidays may be required depending on facility needs.

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the medical-surgical unit
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate care plans
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

Current RN license in Ohio (or compact license acceptable)
BLS certification required (AHA or equivalent)
At least 1 year of recent pediatric med/surg experience preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric assessment and medication administration
Patient and family education
Use of electronic health records (EHR)
Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
