Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and follow patient care plans
• Provide compassionate patient and family education to support recovery
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and responses in the patient chart promptly
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth patient flow
• Support unit safety and infection control practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with EHR charting, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and required facility onboarding

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Time management and prioritization across multiple patients
• Familiarity with standard Med/Surg procedures and safety protocols
• Basic EHR navigation and accurate clinical documentation
