Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and EICU patients throughout their hospital stay
• Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate individualized patient care using the full nursing process
• Respond confidently to life-threatening situations using established nursing standards and protocols
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately with zero medication errors
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and procedures in easy-to-understand language
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate seamless patient care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment while following universal precautions and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification encouraged
• Two-year nursing degree required, BSN preferred
• Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple patients safely

Education

• Two-year degree in nursing required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with electronic medical records and computerized documentation
• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit priorities
• Intermediate computer proficiency and solid organizational skills
