Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and complete required competencies
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including fit testing and vaccine requirements
• Complete Trinity Specialty competency testing and skills checklists as required

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Iowa
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Successful License/Certificate Verification prior to start
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to complete required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza), Tdap, and TB screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundation in medical-surgical nursing principles and patient care
• Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Familiarity with competency-based testing and skills checklist processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient/hospital setting and adapting to varied shifts
• Good communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
