Location: Oxnard, California

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery and postpartum patients
Perform circulating duties during cesarean sections
Float to postpartum, L&D, and NICU units as needed to support patient care
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries
Monitor fetal heart tracings using FetalLink system
Manage high-risk deliveries and patients with diverse diagnoses

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of recent L&D/PP experience required
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (AWOHNN intermediate or advanced) certifications required
Stable certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring
Strong understanding of AWOHNN guidelines
Ability to float across L&D, postpartum, and NICU
Spanish language skills preferred to communicate with a diverse patient population
Experience with high-risk obstetrics and emergency deliveries
