Location: Herrin, Illinois

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
Develop and implement individualized care plans with the care team
Educate patients and families with clear explanations and instructions
Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Contribute to a healthy workplace through professional communication
Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care

Qualifications

Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Stroke certification is a plus but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Patient education and communication
Clinical judgment and documentation
Collaborative teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
Managing conflict with professionalism
