Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU with clinical precision
• Administer medications and manage infusions, adhering to safe practice
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - California license preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Critical care or ICU nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work per diem schedule and adapt to variable assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and ICU workflows
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• IV therapy, central line care, and infusion pump management
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation of rhythms
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Patient and family-centered communication in high-stress situations
