Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems while responding swiftly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based care across neuro, cardiac, and surgical cases
Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide patient care excellence

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
Willingness to adhere to the facility's no-artificial-nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and centralized monitoring
Drip titration and management of vasopressors, paralytics, and sedation
Experience with neuro surgery, Impella, balloon pump, CRRT, and ICP monitoring (training available)
Critical thinking and positive, collaborative attitude
Comfort working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
