Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using advanced assessment skills
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex hemodynamic monitoring safely and effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Actively participate in unit-based performance improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Louisiana
• Clinical experience in an intensive care unit (ICU) or equivalent critical care setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive medications, and advanced monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in high-acuity teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ongoing professional development and critical care certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and bedside assessment skills
• Proficiency with ventilators and respiratory support equipment
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
