Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications while closely monitoring patient response
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver safe, quality care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Complete one department-specific orientation shift and pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius rule
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Experience with trauma, cardiac, sepsis, stroke, and heart failure patients
Flexible and reliable with holiday coverage and every-other-weekend rotation
